My Best Supporter

A few days ago, I was scrolling through some family photos and came across this one of Joe and I volunteering at the Westridge Elementary Carnival. Aside from the fact that Joe looks hot, I could not help but reflect on the way he has supported me with all my hair brained ideas, goals, projects, and more recently going back to school then quitting after one semester.

Joe has accompanied me to many television cooking segments, has been patient with in the many hours I spent writing and more recently doing homework. I can not think of a time when Joe did not assist me volunteering at the elementary school. Of course, I always appreciated it, but for some reason, it really hit me how profound it is. In my book, it is no small thing to have my best friend's support over the past 23 years.

Joe manning the popular tug-o-war event on field day. My second daughter had just come home from the hospital after being treated for pneumonia. As the Westridge Health coordinator, I was in charge of field day which was a big deal at this school. I was incredibly overwhelmed with my responsibilities.

When under pressure, the support of my husband and family made all the difference. I could not have accomplished half of the things that I have without first and foremost, Joe and my children. What a blessing!
