Steel Cut Oats and Berries

Steel cut oats have not been rolled or flattened in processing the rolled oats we are accustomed to. This whole grain cereal has a chewy texture of cracked wheat cereal. Personally, steel cut oats with berries and real maple syrup top my favorite breakfast list.

Calories 225 per serving

1 cup steel cut oats
4 cups water
real maple syrup
fresh berries
organic milk or almond milk

1. Bring water to boil.
2. Add oats and turn heat to simmer.
3. Simmer 25 minutes.
4. Top with 1 tsp. real maple syrup, fresh berries, and 1/2 cup milk per 1/2 cup serving.
