Sweet and Sour Chicken


3 lbs. chicken breasts cut into 1 inch chunks
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup chicken broth
3 1/2 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 green pepper, seeded and cut into large chunks
1 (15 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained

Place chicken in 9 X 13 baking dish. Sprinkle chicken with garlic salt and pepper. Add pineapple chunks and green pepper to chicken in dish. For sauce: Combine sugar, vinegar, chicken broth, ketchup, and soy sauce. Pour sauce over chicken mixture. Bake in325 degree oven uncovered for 45 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink.

Serve over rice.
