Apple and Walnut Oatmeal

Oatmeal is one of my favorite breakfast foods I don't eat for breakfast. It is comforting, healthy, and homey. Adding apples, walnuts, and cinnamon elevates the taste and nutritional value of this simple meal. Absolutely delicious!

2 cups old fashioned oats
3 1/2 cups water
1 cup Fuji, apple, diced (skin intact)
1/2 cup raw walnuts, crushed
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 Tbls. honey
organic whole milk

1. In a medium pot over medium heat, add oatmeal, water, apples, walnuts, and cinnamon.
2. Stir occasionally until oatmeal is thick, about 2 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and stir in honey.
4. Serve with milk.
