Caesar Salad with Homemade Croutons


1 head romaine lettuce
garlic homemade croutons
Parmesan cheese, shredded
homemade Caesar salad dressing

1. Wash, dry, and cut lettuce into bite size pieces.
2. Place in salad bowl and set aside.

Caesar Dressing:
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
fresh juice and zest from a small lemon
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
2 garlic cloves
1/4 teaspoon fresh black pepper
1 cup Romano Parmesan Cheese

1. Combine all ingredients in blender except for 1 cup Cheese. 
2. Stir cheese in last.

Homemade Croutons:
1/2 baguette
1/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1. Cut baguette into 1/2 inch cubes and set aside. 
2. In medium bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, and black pepper. 
3. Add bread cubes to oil and toss to coat. 
4. Bake in 300 degree oven for 5 minutes. 

To assemble salad: 

1. Pour dressing over Romaine lettuce and toss. 
2. Add homemade croutons just before serving.
